Our Sessions

Each session is delivered by one of our trained educators and can be presented in the following ways:

  • Classroom sessions, usually as part of an “off-timetable” day

  • Assembly-style presentations to whole year groups

  • Live-streamed virtual sessions using Zoom

At the end of each of our sessions, we signpost students to our youth resource, BrightTrack.

  • KEYSTAGE: KS4 & KS5 (Y9 - Y13)

    AIM: To give pupils an overview of the issue of p0rnography using 3 springboard questions:

    Is it good for me? - Scientific evidence showing that p0rn use can lead to addiction and other physical & mental health issues.

    What’s in this? - How do the messages & accepted behaviours found in p0rn impact and influence pupils’ understanding of body image, consent, and healthy relationships.

    How was it made? - Unpacking the social justice issues related to some of the documented exploitation, coercion and abuse within the p0rn industry.

  • KEYSTAGE: KS3 (Y7 - Y9)

    AIM: To equip young people to recognise the potential dangers of sharing information online with a focus on sexting.

    The session is designed to highlight the inconsistencies between behaviour online and offline, and encourages pupils to be their best selves online in the same way we would want them to behave offline (e.g. if this is rude to say to someone’s face, it’s rude to post on their TikTok!)

    AIM: Students will be equipped to identify unhelpful messaging present in a variety of media types, critique those messages, and recognise potential harmful consequences if those messages are adopted into real-life relationships. Pupils also have the opportunity to consider and express their own '#relationshipgoals’.

  • KEYSTAGES: KS5 (Y12 & Y13) who have already had P0rn: What’s the Big Deal

    AIM: To deepen pupils’ understanding of the harms of p0rnography by characterising it as a betrayer and thief, highlighting how:

    P0rn robs your health - Video testimonials of the detrimental effect addiction can have on a person’s life, including escalation into darker themes over time

    P0rn robs your relationships - Statistics about the numbers of people who feel pressured into risky and violent acts, and video testimonials of young adults saying how harmful it was that they learned about sex from what they watched online

    P0rn robs the people on-screen - Deeper dive into the human trafficking industry and its links to p0rnography and sexual exploitation
